Band Parents

The Band Parents typically meet on the first Monday of each month in the High School Bandroom at 7:30 P.M., except when otherwise noted.

The Band Parent organization is a volunteer organization that is open to membership of all parents of band members. Membership and participation is highly encouraged for all parents.

The Band Parents provide support for the Band Program in many ways, from fundraising to chaperoning. But most importantly they show the students that someone cares enough for them to give of their time and efforts to help them achieve success.

Parents who show an active interest in their child are making a down payment on that child's future.

There are many committees and groups within the Band Parents that you may help to serve. There is a place for every parent, no matter how much or how little time you have to offer. The Band Parents are always looking for new ways to serve the Band Program and your input is always appreciated.

It has been found over the years that the greatest single resource that the Band Program has is the Band Parent organization. They are responsible for helping the Band achieve its goals and keeping it one of the best and most rewarding experiences that the South Allegheny School District has to offer.
